Douglas Hammond is principal of Hammond Consulting, a Disabled Veteran owned and operated consulting firm and a business partner with Cyber Communication. He is a published author of two books on Cisco Switching and has contributed to numerous white papers on security and network technologies.
Mr. Hammond has a broad range of technical and business development experience with an emphasis on IT security, firewalls, high availability systems and integration of new technology with legacy environments. He has unique expertise in successfully translating business terms into technical techniques for accelerated design and implementation of secure and reliable networks and systems.
In his career, Mr. Hammond has previously for some leading IT consulting firms, including NEC Business Network Solutions and as a Network Systems Consultant with International Network Systems. His primary focus was working with internet service providers, emerging Internet-based companies, financial institutions, and State, Federal and Local governments with emphasis on enterprise network management, internetworking design & engineering, performance management and information security.
In addition, Mr. Hammond is a security specialist with more than 20 years experience in information security consulting. He specializes in risk assessment and risk reduction strategies, assessment of information security controls, information security organization and policy, information ownership and classification, and training and education.
Mr. Hammond is a Certified Information System Security Professional, a Cisco Certified Network Professional and a Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator.
